Animal lovers are in for a double treat this weekend.
Danemere Animal Rescue will host its annual open day on Sunday, offering visitors a chance to look at the animals and explore the gardens. Dave Lannie, kennel superviser at the Tibberton centre, near Droitwich, said the event was the key fund-raiser.
"People can come and look round the kennels and the cats and see the work we do here," he said.
"It is a superb garden with all sorts of different features. For a keen gardener it's definitely a must to come and have a look."
There will be fun for all the family with a plant sale, tombola, treasure hunt and small animal corner - with reptiles, rabbits, birds and guinea pigs. Visitors will be able to talk to experts about how to care for pets. The event, taking place at the Plough Road centre between 11am and 4pm, will be free to enter and £1 to look round the gardens.
