MORE than 300 people were given advice and information on careers with children, young people and their families at a huge fair in Worcester.
The Every Child Matters Careers Fair attracted people from far and wide, seeking help on a range of jobs.
The event, held at the Fownes Hotel in City Walls Road yesterday, was organised by the Worcester News in partnership with Worcestershire County Council's family information service.
Carole Postins, recruitment officer for the county council, said: "This has been a really fantastic opportunity and we are pleased with the response we have received.
"We believe that many people left the event better equipped for planning their future career working with children, young people and their families."
Sara Matthews, events manager at the Worcester News, said she was pleased with how the event went.
"It was a really good day," she said. "And we had lots of people through the doors."
More than 20 organisations were on hand providing a wide range of information and advice for careers in childcare in Worcestershire.
