A HOMELESS man was found dead on his knees up against a bench in Worcester with a syringe in his hand, an inquest heard.
A bag of "drug paraphernalia" was also found next to David Morris when he was discovered by a resident living in St Paul's Court at about 12.20am on Monday.
Coroner for the county Victor Round said paramedics confirmed Morris, aged 27, was dead at the scene, and noticed there was a graze on his left elbow along with a small amount of blood.
Mr Round said that might have been caused by the fall from the bench but said he was sending off blood samples for testing.
Morris, who was known by the probation service and was on a drugs rehabilitation programme, had been staying at St Paul's Hostel, Tallow Hill, but had recently moved in with a friend in St Catherines Vale, near Perry Wood.
The case has now been adjourned to a date to be fixed.
