Improve sweetcorn success
1. When planting, arrange plants in a block instead of rows, to help improve the rate of pollination for this wind-pollinated crop.2. If you want to grow more than one variety of sweetcorn, pick 'tendersweet' types such as 'Lark', which don't need to be isolated from other varieties.3. Harvest the cobs as soon as the golden tassels are starting to turn brown. If you leave them too long, the kernels will become tougher.
