TWO top staff members at a Malvern school are planning to strip down to their bras for a special fund-raising event in Edinburgh.
Rosalind Hayes, headteacher of Malvern St James School, and Angela Hencher, deputy bursar, will be taking part in the Edinburgh MoonWalk on Saturday in support of breast cancer research and cancer care.
The pair will join 10,000 other walkers, including TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, to raise funds by power-walking across Edinburgh during the night wearing a range of colourful and decorated bras.
Mrs Hayes said: "We are keen supporters of Walk The Walk and its commitment not only to fund-raising but also in encouraging women to live fitter, healthier lifestyles and take responsibility for their own well-being."
Mrs Hencher said: "Over the past few months we have both taken part in a rigorous training programme to build up stamina and speed in preparation for the challenge."
Walk The Walk was founded by Nina Barough in 1996, after power-walking the New York marathon, and since then the charity has continued to grow, raising more than £27 million.
