PLAYWORKERS and volunteers can find out more about the chance to work at special needs play schemes in Worcestershire over the schools' summer holiday at tomorrow's Every Child Matters Careers Fair.
Worcestershire County Council's Early Years and Childcare Service is planning to recruit people to help out at its play schemes across the county.
Jessica Harris, development officer for special needs and disabilities, said: "The success of the schemes depends on high quality, enthusiastic staff and volunteers. The Every Child Matters Careers Fair is an ideal opportunity for people who are interested in working with children to find out more about working with children with complex needs.
"We held successful play schemes at Easter that were thoroughly enjoyed by the staff, volunteers and children.
"Staff and volunteers working on the schemes have found the work extremely enjoyable and fulfilling and many have worked with us over a number of years."
The play schemes are open to children aged four to 17 years with a range of physical disabilities and learning difficulties and will be held in Bromsgrove, Redditch, Kidderminster, Pershore and Worcester from Monday, July 23, to Friday, August 24.
More information is available by visiting the Special Needs stand at the Every Child Matters Careers Fair at the Fownes Hotel, Worcester tomorrow between 10am and 4pm or alternatively, by calling 01905 790560.
