A POPULAR dog rehoming charity has returned to Droitwich and is in desperate need of car boot items to raise money.

Jordan Bear Charity has returned to the town and will be once again holding table top sales and car boots by selling donated goods.

Sue Boone, who named the charity after her first pet greyhound, moved to Cornwall three years ago to set up kennels in south west England but health issues have meant she has had to return to Droitwich.

She wants to continue the charity's good work which includes raising £130,000 in seven years without asking for monetary donations.

All the money is then donated to rehoming kennels to look after the dogs in their care.

"I went to Cornwall and opened a rescue kennel down there which I have left with people who are looking after the dogs.

"I've moved back to Droitwich in the last month and want to get the charity running again.

"I've lost touch with the people who used to donate goods to me so I am asking for people to donate items they no longer want to sell at car boots and functions and then it goes to the rescue dogs.

"We are literally desperate."

Explaining the reason why she came back to Droitwich, she said a major heart attack in September and returned because the services were better here.

"I have always wanted to live in Cornwall and own a rescue kennels but I had a big heart attack and just needed to come home but there was no way I wanted to give it up."

People can donate anything such as clothing, stationery, CDs except large items such as furniture.
