CELEBRATIONS are in order for a pair of Evesham paramedics who between them have clocked up 90 years service to the NHS.
Philip Crowther and David Hankins were presented with special certificates by Wychavon District Council's Chairman, Councillor Frances Smith, to mark the achievement on Wednesday.
The duo work for West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) and are based at Evesham Community Ambulance Station.
Cllr Smith said: "It is people like David and Philip that make the NHS what it is. Without the exceptional skill, dedication and commitment shown by these two people – and the thousands of others like them up and down the country – the ambulance service would not be able to achieve the high standards of service we have all come to expect."
The long-serving paramedics were each presented with medals for 40 years of service at WMAS' Long Service and Excellence Awards in April.
Mr Hankins started working for the ambulance service in July 1969 while Mr Crowther began his career in October 1975 in London.
