A ONE man opera, inspired by by Puccini's Madame Butterfly and Japanese Noh Theatre, is set to entertain a Worcestershire audience.
Ignacio Jarquin's "Mme Butterfly" will come to Malvern Theatres on Friday, September 30, with a new score by Michael Finnissy, responding to Puccini themes, and with a blend of story telling, dance and masks.
This show is set some thirty years after the end of the Puccini Opera.
Mme Butterfly's son, Tomisaburo, wants to meet his American father.
But will his father want to meet him, and what can be resolved?
