CHILDREN can become a king or queen for the day at Worcestershire County Museum at Hartlebury Castle, near Kidderminster.

The ‘Summer Skool’ allows the children to become different characters through teacher led sessions, hands on craft classes and themed trails.

Activities will take place between August 9 – August 11, and admission costs £5 per adult, £2.50 per child & concessions, and £13 for a family ticket.

Pippa Ashmore, museum events manager, said: "School holidays can seem endless and it can start getting really expensive keeping the kids entertained but a visit to the County Museum is affordable fun for the whole family.

"In between activities there is 1000 years of history to explore in the museum, or you can take advantage of our excellent café facilities or bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy in our fabulous grounds."

The museum is open from 10am-4pm from Tuesday to Friday, on 11am-5pm to Saturdays and Sundays.
