AHOY, there! It's the summer of 1980 and the Bishop of Worcester, who was then the Rt Rev Robin Woods former chaplain to the Queen, is sailing the waters of the river Severn searching for souls to save.
By the look of it he has a good boat-full here, all of whom appear quite happy to have been netted by such a distinguished clergyman.
Actually, it was the annual cruise of the Worcester Diocese, so one might assume the loudspeakers on board were booming out All Things Bright and Beautiful and not YMCA and there was a governor on the drinks cabinet to prevent too many gentlemen (and possibly ladies) getting too merry along the way.
Not sure about the flags though. Look more like a washing line of assorted trousers and shirts.
