THE EIGHTH Jinney Ring Blues Festival has announced its full line-up.

From 1pm on Saturday August 13, Jinney Ring, a crafts centre near Bromsgrove. will play host to six live bands on the marquee stage.

A spokesman said: "Opening the festival will be one man band Andy Twyman who plays drums, guitar, and harmonica simultaneously, as well as singing. He will be followed by London duo Ma Polaine’s Great Decline.

"A highlight on the line up is four-piece band Rainbreakers whose impassioned live performances have gained critical acclaim in the national press. Laura Holland Band bring a slick, dynamic and highly entertaining show to the stage, with original compositions mixed with songs from blues and soul legends of the 50s and 60s."

The spokesman added: "The festival’s headline act is Northsyde. This talented group had a clean sweep of finalist nominations at this year's British Blues Awards, for Guitarist, Bassist, Drummer, Vocalist and Band of the Year.

"Also on stage will be the magnificent 18 piece Simon Kemp Rhythm and Blues Orchestra who will be the final act of the night with their energetic audience embracing show."

To accompany the music, the Jinney Ring will host a Beer Festival, which will open at 6pm on Friday August 12 with an Open Mic Night in the garden marquee.
