POLICE are appealing for two members of the public to serve on the West Mercia Police and Crime Panel.
Panel members will be expected to hold the police and crime commissioner to account by assessing his performance.
The position is unpaid, but all panel members may claim an amount for travelling expenses and will receive appropriate training.
Volunteers are expected to give up one day a month to attend meetings at County Hall, and will serve on the panel for a period of four years.
The police are seeking local candidates with relevant experience in community safety, victim support and criminal justice.
