FOUR pupils from a Worcester independent school have been awarded prestigious scholarships for their engineering skills.
Worcester's Royal Grammar School pupils Matthew Croydon, aged 16, from Redditch, Patrick McLeish, 16, from Bromyard, Daniel Walker, 15, from Bewdley, and Daniel Harris, 16, from St John's, Worcester, have all successfully passed the Arkwright Aptitude Paper, demonstrating flair and originality in solving engineering design problems.
They have now received the Arkwright Scholarship, sponsored by BBT Thermotechnology in Warndon, Worcester.
David Cotterill, head of design and technology at RGS Worcester, said: "It is incredible for one school to achieve four scholarships with only 120 handed out across the UK. It is a testament to the hard work of both the pupils and staff."
The four pupils met Richard Berry, of BBT Thermotechnology, to receive their awards.
