ANY prescription tablets found in Worcester should be destroyed or handed in, warn city police.

A woman has lost a purse containing an unknown quantity of an anti-convulsant and mood-stabilising drug designed to treat epilepsy and bipolar disorder.

The trileptal oxcarbazepine pills were lost in the city centre at about 1.25pm last Friday.

A police spokesman said: "Prescription drugs are exactly that and are intended for only one person.

"Anyone finding the tablets is urged to take them to their nearest police station or chemist or destroy them and let the police know that they are no longer untraced."

Worcester police can be contacted on 08457 444888, quoting 338S/080607.
