A SLICE of Hawaiian life came to Worcester at the weekend.
Staff from Vision Express donned Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, floral garlands and even a pair of flippers on Saturday, June 9, when they raised £100 for charity.
The Hawaii-themed fun day, held in and just outside the store in Friary Walk, CrownGate, Worcester, was in aid of Vision Aid Overseas - a charity dedicated to helping people in the developing world whose lives are blighted by poor eyesight Store manager Claire Fletcher said: "Poverty and lack of skilled opticians affects millions of people who don't spectacles that they desperately need. With spectacles, they can learn, work and achieve a quality of life otherwise unobtainable."
Shoppers had the chance to win £100 worth of sunglasses of their choice by entering a special raffle and the entire shop was decorated with colourful balloons.
