FUN, food and fabulous weather helped to make an annual fete in Droitwich a great community event and the most successful fund-raiser ever.
Dorset House in Blackfriars Avenue - a residential home for older people run by Agecare - staged its summer fete and raised about £700 towards a major building project which will provide a dementia care unit.
Fund-raising manager Ester Ruggiero described the event on Saturday as "fabulous".
"The weather was great, we had lots of people and I think the total raised will be £700. I think that is better than we have done previously. We had a bouncy castle, face painting, a books stall, raffles, a plant stall, tombola and wonderful cream teas."
Visitors also had the chance to see plans for a new 32-bed specialist dementia care unit which will be built at Dorset House and proceeds from the fete will go towards that project.
