HANDMADE quilts have been given to 18 year 6 Fort Royal Primary School students as leaving presents.
The beautiful quilts were personalised for each child and were presented by Lynne Adams from Project Linus UK.
The charity brings volunteers together to create comfort blankets and quilts for children and teenagers.
The children who will now move on to high school were presented with the quilts in an assembly and were applauded by friends and staff.
Ed Francis, head teacher of Fort Royal school, said: "It was clear that these quilts will be treasured by the children for many years.
"It was an emotional assembly with not a dry eye in the house.
"Many thanks to Project Linus UK for their support to our children who now have something very special to remind them of their time at Fort Royal."
