A SENIOR academic has spoken at a Worcester school in the latest of a series of science lectures.
Mike Wheeler, senior lecturer in biochemistry and genetics at Worcester University spoke to students from years 10,11 and 12 at Christopher Whitehead Language College about the new and emerging technology of bio-informatics.
He told the pupils how sequencing and comparing genomes enables scientists to see how closely related all organisms are.
Students and staff heard about dinosaurs having feathers and whales evolving from land mammals.
