GIRLS have been proving their scientific abilities through an extra-curricular project.
Youngsters from year 10 at Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College have been encouraging younger children to get involved with Physics.
The project is aimed at attracting girls to the subject which not enough girls currently pursue to a higher level.
Ella Partington, Rosie Long, Emma Mahon, Ruth Hope, Niamh Allen, Cymon Hewitt and Elena Davison have all been involved.
The group has enjoyed weekly visits from the Institute of Physics link, Nicky Thomas, and encouragement from Nick Bradburn, Physics teacher.
Together they have planned and delivered activities for younger students at Cherry Orchard Primary, attended a training course at Worcester University to become Science Ambassadors and put together an exciting Science experience for the visiting year 5 children.
