POLICE are asking residents for their input on an online survey about local policing.

West Mercia police wants to hear the views of people in Worcester, Malvern Hills and Wychavon about crime, disorder and their experiences of reporting crime in the Crime and Safety Partnership survey.

The force has also created a survey for young people between the ages of 10 and 15 years. The survey will also be posted to numerous addresses at random for the forms to be filled in.

It is produced by West Mercia Police Authority and the local South Worcestershire Crime and Disorder Partnership - which includes Worcester City district.

Change manager Elena James said: "This annual survey is an opportunity for people to shape the way their local community is policed and enables them to have their say in how local crime and disorder issues are tackled.

"There is a section created specifically for Worcester that provides people with the opportunity to feedback about issues and initiatives going on in their area, which will help us use and target our resources more effectively."

Launa Walker, Worcester city's community safety co-ordinator, said: "The opinions of our community members are very important to us and we value the feedback we get from them.

"The results of this survey will help us to improve the services we deliver to our communities across Worcester."

Everyone who completes a survey will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win up to £100.
