THE CALL has gone out for nifty knitters and crocheters in Worcester to join Make at the Movies to raise funds and awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer.

Friends Elaine Morris and Jean Paskell are inviting crafters to come along to the fun event at Worcester Odeon in Foregate Street on Tuesday, July 19 from 10.45am to knit during a film.

Lights will be left on during the showing of Florence Foster Jenkins at 11.30am for people to knit and pick up some tips.

Mrs Morris said: "With the lights left on especially for us, you can work on your yarny project while you enjoy the film.

"Just think of all that dedicated crafting time, with no interruptions."

Her friend added: "There's a raffle with some excellent prizes, plus help on hand with knitting advice before and after the film. Non-crafters are also very welcome."

This event is a chance to have fun and spread a very important message - knowing the symptoms of ovarian cancer can save lives.

Every penny will go to Target Ovarian Cancer and will help support women living with ovarian cancer, fund research into urgently needed new treatments, and help them to continue raising awareness of the disease.

For more information about the event, contact the Worcester Odeon on 01905 24006, or search for the Make at the Movies Facebook Event.
