A WORCESTER school has had to close part of its building today after a hot water pipe burst at the weekend.
Key stage 2 pupils at St Joseph's Catholic Primary school in Chedworth Drive, Warndon, were told to take the day off after water three inches deep filled four classrooms.
The whole of the Key stage 2 part of the school, which includes a corridor, library and toilets, is underwater.
School secretary Pat Digger said: "We believe the water came from a burst hot water pipe - it must have happened overnight.
"The whole of the key stage 2 area is underwater and closed. We are hoping to re-open tomorrow, but until we get some assessors in we don't know."
The rest of the school is open as normal.
