OFFICERS raided a Dines Green home as they carried out a drugs warrant.

West Mercia Police officers and police community support officers broke into the building, in Tudor Way, to execute a misuse of drugs search on Friday morning.

Sgt Carl Jones said the team had multiple sources of intelligence in regards to the warrant. But the property was unoccupied at the time and no drugs were found.

Police snapped off a padlock on a shed door at the property and searched inside.

They also ran checks on three bikes found in the shed, before entering the house by the side door using a bolt cropper.

The team searched the house and seized a set of scales.

As the police began to leave, Fortis Living staff arrived to start organising repair work.

The operation was conducted by the Safer Neighbourhood Team for St John's and Bedwardine.

Sgt Jones said: "Intelligence told us this would be the best time to do the warrant, unfortunately the occupants were not here.

"I would like to thank people for coming forward with information. If you call the police we will act on it."
