A MAN had to be coaxed down from a Worcester railway bridge.
Police were called to the Foregate Street station shortly before 4am yesterday after receiving reports of a man on the top of the bridge.
Firecrews were called to the scene, along with a police negotiator, and the road and railway line were closed until 6am.
A number of early First Great Western and Central Trains services were disrupted but services returned to normal once the tracks were opened.
The man was later rescued unharmed and detained under the mental-health act.
