A MAN has been assaulted in Hereford.

Police are appealing for information about the assault which is believed to have happened on Union Street, Hereford in the early hours of Sunday, May 27.

A man attended the front counter at Hereford at 5am and reported that he had been assaulted in the city centre - possibly in the Symonds Street or Union Street areas.

The victim had very little recollection of what had happened and could only say that he was attacked by two or three males, who were wearing shoes rather than trainers. He stated he had been kicked while on the ground and had suffered facial injuries, including a cut to the forehead and nose. He was taken to hospital by police officers for treatment for his injuries.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault taking place.
