A MAN had to be coaxed down from a Worcester railway bridge.
Police were called to the Foregate Street station shortly before 4am today after receiving reports of a man on the top of the bridge.
Firecrews were called to the scene along with a police negotiator - and the road and railway line were closed until 6am.
A number of early First Great Western and Central Trains services were disrupted - but services returned to normal once the tracks were opened.
The man was later rescued unharmed and detained under the mental-health act.
A spokesman for Worcester police declined to give any details about the man.
