A WORCESTER fitness club is testing its members' physical fitness with a charity challenge later this month.
Gym XL in Broad Street is encouraging members to take to the static bikes, rowing and running equipment to cover a distance of 1,700km - the distance from Land's End to John O'Groats.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 16, and will support the British Heart Foundation's (BHF) Help a Heart campaign raise £1.5 million to fund essential heart research.
Gym XL owner Rob Pack said: "We are combining the fund-raising event for the BHF with an open day and we aim to travel the 1,700km using a variety of fitness equipment within 12 hours.
"Our club members from Ledbury are travelling to Worcester to take part in the challenge too."
Local families are invited to turn up and take part in the fun, enjoy a BBQ and try out the facilities.
There will be special membership offers that will run throughout the day.
For more information about the challenge contact Mr Pack or staff at Gym XL on 01905 767664.
