ANGLERS are being warned to be on their guard after fishing tackle worth £1,300 was stolen from a shed in Evesham.
The equipment was taken from an address in Alder Grove, Evesham overnight on Tuesday, June 5.
Evesham police want to hear from anyone was saw anything suspicious in the area between the given times, such as strangers or unfamiliar vehicles.
A police spokesman said: "It is highly likely that these items will be offered for re-sale, perhaps to a specialist shop, keen angler or collector.
"We urge anyone who is offered equipment for sale to be completely sure of its origin and history before buying. If they are at all suspicious they should call us."
Police can be contacted on 08457 444 888, quoting 81S/060607. Information can also be given - anonymously - to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
