A DISC jockey from Worcestershire is to keep the British Forces in touch with their friends and families on Father's Day.
Former University College Worcester student Wez Thompson will be helping the British Forces Broadcasting Service Radio make the day one to remember.
Mr Thompson wants to help as many families as possible link up with their loved ones on Sunday, June 17, and will help co-present the show on BFBS Radio 1.
Messages and dedications will be made from friends and families to dads who are based overseas, who sometimes work in arduous conditions and with little contact from their loved ones.
The Father's Day special will be heard in the UK and all over the world from Afghanistan to Iraq right down to the Falkland Islands and at sea on Royal Navy ships.
Mr Thompson said: "No doubt it will be an emotion-packed Father's Day because it's amazing hearing families re-united via the radio.
"It's going to be great to be able to make that happen."
