PET owners across Worcestershire are being urged to take advantage of National Microchipping Month.

Droitwich's Townsend Veterinary Practice is holding chipping clinics along with a raffle to encourage people to get their pets microchipped.

Practice spokesman Lyndsey Townsend said: "These clinics will be held throughout June to provide pet owners with the opportunity to get their pets microchipped to help identify them and get them safely home should they go missing."

National Microchipping Month is organised by Petlog and is designed to raise awareness to pet owners of how simple and effective microchipping is.

Petlog is the UK's largest database of pets and can be used to traced lost or stolen animals.
