TWO German students have travelled all the way to Worcester in a bid to help them with their careers in the media.
Isabelle Trick and Katharina Kruger are spending two weeks in the Faithful City and have wasted no time in making the most of their stay.
The pair, who are both 18, have already set themselves assignments to research and write in-depth features on the celebrations surrounding the 150th anniversary of Sir Edward Elgar's birth.
Once written, the articles will be sent to their local newspaper in Stuttgart. Isabelle, who starred in a German television series for three years, and Katharina, have also managed to get four days' work experience helping with media presentations at the Cheltenham Science Festival next week.
Isabelle said German media students often have to go abroad to get valuable work experience.
"It is supposed to help with getting into university - we want to study English," she said.
Both students currently attend a grammar school which is twinned with Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College, Worcester.
