A FUNNEL cloud has been spotted in the skies over Wichenford near Martley.
The cloud, which has been described by meteorologists as a violent, rotating column of air extending between clouds, was spotted on Saturday evening by eagle-eyed Worcester News photographer Jonathan Barry.
He quickly grabbed his camera to take a photo while daughter, Charlotte, also took some pics before the cloud disappeared.
The clouds are often mistaken as a tornado, but they can only officially be classified as a tornado if there is contact with the ground.
The winds from funnel clouds are so strong, they can be enough to down a light aircraft.
