A MOTHER of five whose family faces eviction from their Malvern home, has come out fighting, saying that they are well-behaved.

Francis Scarratt said Elgar Housing Association has told her that she must keep it informed of the whereabouts of all her children, otherwise the family will be evicted from their home in Martin Close.

The 35-year-old said the association had unfairly accused her family of being anti-social.

"I've got to tell them where my kids are, what they are doing, when they go to school and when they are off school," said the single mother.

"I will not accept that, because my children are not anti-social kids.

"If I agree to the conditions, it's agreeing that my family are anti-social and we are not. We certainly cannot be called a troublesome family."

Mrs Scarratt said she has received a letter from the association telling her that it is taking legal action.

She said: "I just don't know what to do any more or where to turn.

"It may come to us living in a caravan. I've got nowhere else to go."

Mrs Scarratt said Elgar Housing Association be-lieves her children have been kicking footballs in the street and behaving anti-socially anti-social in their garden.

Sue Heelas, head of housing at Elgar, said: "We have been working with the family for several months.

"We are currently at the first stage of legal action and are keen to continue to work with the family.

"When dealing with cases of anti-social behaviour, we take a balanced approach of being supportive and taking enforcement action."
