A LITTER pick has been held at Worcester's country park for students completing a course on the environment.
The Youth Development Centre helps young people who have not benefited from mainstream education to reach their full potential.
The litter pick was part of the entry to employment course called e2e with their latest project focusing on the environment.
Students worked in groups to plan various aspects of the litter pick and took responsibility for completing the risk assessment, buying the protective equipment, planning a picnic and organising the transport.
Tutor and deputy manager for e2e Bev Bevan said: "The day was a great success despite a few downpours of rain. The students picked up more than 10 bags of litter and also organised a delicious picnic for us all - which was a great reward after a busy morning."
