A BULL had to be rescued by firecrews from the River Avon near Pershore.
Appliances from Evesham and Upton upon Severn were called just after noon yesterday for what they originally thought was to rescue a cow.
It took crews around two hours to get the animal out of the river with the owner and the RSPCA watching to make sure the animal wasn't injured.
The bull was uninjured in the incident.
