One of Worcester's oldest people has died at the grand old age of 102.
Edna Wilkes, of PALS Residental Care Home in Ombersley Road, Worcester, died on Wednesday, May 23.
On her 101st birthday, Mrs Wilkes - nee Lamb - swore that clean living and lots of exercise was the secret to long life.
Born in Dunhampton, near Kidderminster, the keen gardener moved to Worcester after marrying builder Dennis Wilkes.
"She was a really nice lady," said care home manager Eilen Jeynes, "and she will be sorely missed by us all."
Her funeral is to be held at St Mary's Church in Doverdale, near Droitwich, on Tuesday, June 5.
