A charity abseil down a castle wall helped a Worcester computing firm raise thousands for a children's hospice. Staff from Open GI, including the boss, abseiled down the walls of Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury. The charity event on Sunday by the 18-strong team raised £3,000 for Acorn's Children's Hospice in Bath Road, Worcester.
The abseil means the company has already beaten its target of raising £3,500 by the end of the year after just six months. The firm's chief exectutive Phillip Bell, pictured taking part in the abseil, said: "It was a memorable and fun day but more importantly it provided an opportunity to raise vital funds for local life-limited children and their families."
