MEMBERS of the public who witnessed a serious assault at a Worcestershire train station are being asked to come forward.

In April, a Worcester man in his mid-20s was attacked at Malvern Link railway station. He received cuts and wounds as a result and had to be treated in hospital.

British Transport Police is now appealing for fresh information about the incident, which took place between 1am and 3am on the morning of Thursday, April 26.

"We would be particularly interested to speak to people who were in and around the vicinity of Malvern Link railway station at that time," said Detective Sergeant Andy Irwin-Porter.

"We believe that there were people that could have witnessed this incident.

"So if you witnessed this attack or saw people in the area, it's important that you contact us as soon as possible".
