LEADING names from Worcestershire's sporting scene are going head to head in a golf tournament.

Worcester Warriors chairman Cecil Duckworth, Worcestershire County Cricket Club chairman Percy Price and Worcester City Football Club chairman Dave Boddy will be competing at Sapey Golf Club on Monday, June 11, for the Rabjohns Trophy and to raise money for the Prince's Trust.

Ian Smith, chairman of Rabjohns business and tax advisers, the company sponsoring the event, said: "We are delighted to see this commitment from the county's major clubs to supporting such a worthy cause as the trust. Not only is the day going to be great fun, it's also going to be hugely competitive, as you'd expect when professional sportsmen are involved."

Members of the public are invited to enter the public golf tournament, to be played under Stableford rules, alongside the professionals.

Entry costs £120 a foursome for green fees, a hot meal and a small donation to the Prince's Trust youth charity. Call 01905 27727 for an application form.
