A FULL team of directors are now in place at Worcestershire Primary Care Trust - eight months after it was formed.

In March, the Worcester News reported concerns that the county had missed out in recruiting the best candidates for the top jobs because only three of the five director posts had been filled. But all the vacancies have now been filled at the trust, which is responsible for GP surgeries, dentists, and community hospitals.

Paul Bates, chief executive, said: "I am delighted to say that the final appointments to our team have now been made. Dr Lola Abudu has been appointed a director of commissioning, regulation and performance and Teresa French as director of provider services."

Ms French, who takes up her post on Friday, June 1, has worked in the NHS since 1978 and has held a number of senior posts in the West Midlands, most recently for Coventry Prim-ary Care Trust.

Dr Abudu trained as a doctor at King's College, London, and was deputy director of public health and consultant in public health at South Worcester-shire Primary Care Trust, where she commissioned healthcare improvements.
