TWO people have appeared in court in connection with a drugs raid in Malvern which resulted in five arrests.
Owen Richardson, aged 20, of no fixed abode but who is understood to have connections to the West Midlands appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court today (Thursday).
He faces two charges: possession of heroin (class A) with intent to supply and possession of crack cocaine (class A) with intent to supply.
Neil Bozward, aged 44, of Langland Avenue, Malvern is charged with permitting the the supply of class A drugs at his home.
Richardson was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday, March 23.
Bozward was bailed until the same date at crown court.
Investigations continue in relation to an 18-year-old suspect while the two other suspects were released without charge.
We reported yesterday (Wednesday) how heroin and crack cocaine was seized following a police chainsaw raid in Malvern.
Five people were initially arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs in Malvern following a warrant executed at an address in Sherrards Green Road at 10am on Wednesday in Malvern.
Twelve officers from West Mercia's Worcestershire Priority CID team, wearing personal protective equipment, hacked their way inside the property using a chainsaw.
Although the warrant proved negative further investigations led to an address in Langland Avenue, Malvern, where five people - three men and two women - were arrested.
In total 54 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine have been recovered.
Those who have suspicions about drug dealing in their area are urged to call West Mercia Police on 101.
