GARDENS of all shapes and sizes will be open to visitors in a picturesque Worcestershire village later next month.

Leigh open gardens and craft fair on Sunday, June 17, provides an opportunity to visit the tranquil setting of one of the county's ancient villages.

There will be 12 gardens, from courtyard to more extensive plots, open between noon and 6pm.

A craft fair with stands selling ceramics, paintings, garden sculptures, wrought ironwork, walking sticks, jewellery, wood turnings, baskets, corn dollies, stained glass, jewellery and garden plants will also be taking place at Leigh Court Tithe Barn next to St Edburga's Church. There is free parking available on the day and light refreshments will be available in one of the gardens.

Programmes costing £3 will be available from the tithe barn or any of the open gardens.

All the money raised will be going towards the establishment of a dedicated breast cancer unit at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
