SONGS to make you laugh and think will fill the Marr's Bar next weekend.

Folk singer Dan James will share the stage with friends when he plays the Worcester venue on Sunday, June 3.

The musician, often described as an interpreter of traditional Irish and British folk music, a songwriter and a mandocello player, will be playing his seven-string guitar to make this show more eclectic.

The audience is being told to expect traditional songs, some to make you laugh, some to make you think, mixed in with a little bit of blues and jazz.

James, founder member of folk band Firebrand, will be joined by jazz pianist Gareth Hall and blues harmonica/slide player Eddie Cotteridge.

Tickets are available from Music City, The Tything, and on the door.
