HISTORY lovers have a treat in store over the bank holiday weekend if they make a trip to an Elizabethan manor house.
Members of the Sealed Knot Society will be depicting the year 1642 at Harvington Hall near Kidderminster - famous for its priest holes.
This was when Abigail Pakington, widow of Humphrey Pakington, owned the property and was regularly visited by her daughters Mary Yate and Anne Audley.
The re-enactors - from Colonel Richard Bagot's Regiment of Foote - will be preparing for the return of the family after a visit to London.
People visiting the hall on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday will see how the servants prepared the house and estate workers getting ready for Civil War combat.
The hall will be open from 11.30am to 4.30pm on both days and guided tours of the house will be offered.
