A WORCESTERSHIRE music duo have opened a prestigious award ceremony.
Entertainers from all over the UK attended the Artist of the Year Award Show 2007, held at the Austin Royal British CEM Club, Birmingham, on May 18.
Organised and directed by Ivor Simmons, the secretary general of the National Federation of Entertainment Secretaries, the award was a major showcasing event and taking part were Worcestershire's very own The Lady and The Sax - also known as Malvern's Debbie Hodgkins and Stourport's Sam Pagett. The vocalist and saxophone player opened the ceremony with a mixture of rock and roll, jazz and blues numbers and after their performance were presented with an inscribed trophy.
