A MAN was bitten on the face and his girlfriend was grabbed around the throat on a night of alcohol-fuelled attacks in a Worcestershire town.

In another incident a man was given a black eye and had bruising and swelling to his back after he was kicked to the ground leaving a pub in Stourport-upon-Severn.

The victim, a 27-year-old Kidderminster man, was leaving Bar St Martins, York Street, with two friends when a car pulled up and two men got out and attacked him at about 5.10pm.

The main offender is described as a white man in his early 20s. He was of slim build, with mousey blond spiky hair. The second man was described as white, aged about 25 and of stocky build. He had a shaven head and was wearing a tight vest top.

The victim was taken to hospital but discharged himself after treatment.

Later that night, a 35-year-old man and his girlfriend, 26, both from Stourport, were involved in a argument with a group of about four or five men.

The man was bitten on the face and the woman was grabbed around the throat inside the Hope and Anchor, New Street, at about 9.40pm. The man who was bitten refused treatment. PC Tony Hunt of Stourport police said the victim was lucky the bite was not serious.

The main offender is a white man, of skinny build, with bulging eyes and black hair. There are no descriptions of the others involved other than that they were wearing Aston Villa football club T-shirts.
