HISTORY will come to life when Worcester's Commandery reopens on Saturday.
The black-and-white building in Sidbury has been closed to the public for more than a year while it undergoes a £1.5 million refurbishment.
The museum, an old Civil War base, uses interactive tours and audio displays to focus on six periods, from the monastic era to modern day.
Worcester people can go to the museum for free if they apply for a Commandery Card.
To claim one, which allows free entry for two years, take personal identification such as a driver's licence, credit card or passport and proof of your postcode to the museum and fill out a form.
Once your details have been processed a Commandery Card will be sent by post.
Otherwise admission to museum, which opens at 10am on Saturday, is £5.25 for adults, £3.50 concessions, £2.25 for children aged five to 16, and free for under-fives.
