SPORTS students at the University of Worcester are jetting over to the United States to bring a taste of the beautiful game to America.

The eight Sports Science undergraduates, who are all qualified football coaches, will be based across the pond for three months, teaching dribbling, shooting and defensive soccer skills to children in Florida, Texas, Georgia and Kansas.

The third-year students will be instructing children between the ages of three to 16, Daniel Finnegan, 20, is just one of the students looking forward to the football challenge, next month.

"We've been given a complete package of sporting knowledge through our degree course, from coaching qualifications through to sports psychology, physiotherapy and physiology," he said.

"We all enjoy coaching and training so it will be great to put our skills into practice in America.

"Personally, I'm aiming to become a secondary school teacher in the future, so this whole experience should prove invaluable."
