THE body of a missing woman has been found in the River Wye near Hereford.
Patricia Dawe was last seen by family members at her home in Vaughan Street, Hereford at about 11.30pm on Thursday.
When they woke the following morning she had gone. The 57-year-old's body was found by passers-by in the river near Hampton Bishop at about 12.30pm yesterday.
It was recovered with the assistance of Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews. A search of the River Wye on Saturday and Sunday using police dog handlers, a helicopter and boats had proved negative.
Mrs Dawe's family has been informed and an inquest is due to be held at a date to be confirmed.
